CHRISTMAS HAS BEGUN …...AMAZING GRACE……
Yes indeed, it has. Everywhere you go it’s all about getting ready for Christmas. It’s a crazy time of year. Memories of the past and dealing with all the going on’s around us. Shopping, parties, gatherings, people running here and there. So it is my wish for all to slow down, and take in the moments of JOY that the season brings. I love the lights and decorations, yes even in California we have that. No snow but you can feel the coolness in the air. People seen happier and there are greetings of the season here and there. I got my first Christmas card a few days ago, it was from my great niece KeAnna. It made me so happy and also reminded me of how much I miss family. Today Kevin will put up one of our trees so I can decorate it. We will only do one tree this year and a few decorations around the house as my arm is still healing. That is okay because next year when I do it all again it will really be a wonderful Christmas. Hope you are doing the reading of Luke with me; today was chapter 4, it reminded me of how much we are tempted and that we have Jesus to give us strength to overcome it. Lunch at Gulliver’s Restaurant, the decorations were amazing; each room had a theme. Time with small group is a treasured time.
Almost Christmas, for me the parties are finished and now I can relax and enjoy the reason for the season. This year will be a quiet one for us. We will go to Candle Lite Service and then maybe look at some lights. It is hard when all your children live away from you. I will miss the snow It was always one of my favorite things when I could go home (Montana) and hear my dad say, “did you order the snow.” It always snowed after I arrived. Christmas for many is a joyful time but we should also remember and pray for those who Christmas is a sad. time a time to remember those we loved who are not with us, for those who have lost their homes this year, those who are homeless and have no shelter or food. Those countries who are at war, pray for peace, love and hope.
This year we got a Roborock Qrevo MaxV vacuum and mop……………..I LOVE IT. Her name is Molly and she does an awesome job.
